DISCOVER THE WHISTLER AND BLACKCOMB MOUNTAINS
The Canadian ski resort of Whistler-Blackcomb is the largest in North America. Its backcountry area is renowned for its exceptional off-piste and ski touring . Internationally acclaimed, the resort consistently ranks first among winter sports destinations for its quality, particularly its off-piste and après-ski activities . It boasts one of the most extensive high-speed chairlift networks and a lift that holds a Guinness World Record for its longest span between two peaks.
Located in the Canadian mountains, near the British Columbia coast, Whistler is a 2-hour drive north of Vancouver and its international airport, in the region known as "Sea to Sky." The backcountry terrain is located in Garibaldi Provincial Park. Waterfalls, cliffs, escarpments, the Canadian Rockies, soaring peaks, and sparse forests will be part of the scenery where you'll enjoy runs overflowing with powder. You'll be impressed by the natural beauty of the freeride touring routes we've selected for you. Freeride skiing in Canada is a true gateway to the joy of beautiful lines!
Your comfort and safety are our priority. Your Powderwego guide will ensure daily, in conjunction with the Blackcountry Avalanche Advisory, that the conditions for our freeride touring outings are optimal, taking into account the weather and avalanche risks, especially in the off-piste area. We pay particular attention to checking your equipment (skis, avalanche transceiver and your ability to use it, ABS airbag, probe, shovel, skins, and mobile phone). With Powderwego, everything is done so you can ski with complete peace of mind!
After your days of freeriding , you'll be accommodated in a 3-star hotel offering maximum comfort and top-of-the-range amenities. Furthermore, the village, which hosted the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics, is brimming with activities beyond skiing, shops (where you can find, among other things, the highest-performance ski touring equipment), and restaurants (where you'll find something to satisfy even the most discerning palate). The nightlife also enjoys an excellent reputation, according to Freeskier magazine's rankings. This Canadian ski holiday awaits!
