SKIING IN JAPAN:
Discovering the region of Hokkaido Japan

Located south of the Russian islands Sakhalin and Kuriles, Hokkaido is the northernmost and wildest island of the Japanese archipelago. Due to its proximity to Siberia, snowfalls are very frequent there and undoubtedly make it the best sector for off-piste skiing and ski touring  in Japan. All freeride skier should at least once in his life come and leave his mark in the Japanese powder!

Thanks to this Freerando ski safari on Japanese soil, you will experience an incredible natural and cultural immersion. Perfect blend of tradition and modernity, you will discover the island of Hokkaido through its local specialties, its cuisine, its geothermal hot spring baths (Onsen). You will especially appreciate the virgin snow of its most beautiful national parks: Yotei-zan, Shikotsu-Toya or Daisetsuzan. Wild territories still little affected by mass tourism.

SKIING IN JAPAN - TRIP FROM HOKKAIDO TO NISEKO AND NAKAFURANO:

Our Freetouring Ski Safari in Japan includes two main stages. The first part of the stay is organized over 3 days around Mount Yotei (a symmetrical stratovolcano culminating at 1,898 m), departing from the famous japanese ski resort  Niseko Winter Sports Center (south of Sapporo).

The second part of 4 days will be devoted to the discovery of the region, with its ski resorts such as Rusutsu and Kiroro, ski touring for Backcountry lovers, and optional Kat-Skiing or Heliskiing for amateurs. of feelings.

In order to leave the most frequented slopes, ski lifts or climbing skins  will allow us to multiply exceptional runs in open terrain, in powder that is both light and deep. Depending on the weather conditions, we will favor either skiing in the forest or the volcanic peaks. Mix of freeride skiing and touring skiing  more immersive, this stay is recommended for people in good physical shape with a confirmed to expert level of off-piste skiing.
